Greys.Anatomy.S01E08.Save.Me.DVDRip.XviD-TOPAZ

Meredith(voiceover):
You know how when you were a kid and you believed in fairy tales?
That fantasy of what your life would be.
White dress, Prince Charming, who'd carry you away to a castle on a hill.
You'd lie in bed at night and close your eyes,
and you had complete and utter faith.
Santa Claus, the Tooth Fairy, Prince Charming,
they were so close, you taste them.
But eventually, you grow up.
One day you open your eyes, and the fairy tale disappears.
Most people turn to the things and people they can trust.
But the thing is, it's hard to let go of that fairy tale entirely.
Cause almost everyone still has that smallest bit of hope,
of faith, that one day they'll open their eyes and it will all come true.

At the end of the day, faith is a funny thing.
It turns up when you don’t really expect it.
It’s like one day you realize that the fairy tale may be slightly different than you dreamed.
The castle, well... it may not be a castle.
And it’s not so important that it’s happily ever after.
Just that it’s happy right now.
See, once in a while, once in a blue moon, people will surprise you.
And once in a while... people may even take your breath away.

  • Episode Title: "Save Me"
Save Me"
Several artists have recorded a song by this title, including Queen. Another possible reference: The title is from the Smallville theme song sung by Remy Zero. Another band that has recorded a song titled "Save Me" is Unwritten Law. Also interesting to note is that a song by this name was featured in the sixth episode of this season by artist Jem.

Meredith(voiceover):
Maybe we like the pain.
Maybe we're wired that way.
Because without it, I don't know...
...maybe we just wouldn't feel real.
What's that saying?
"Why do I keep hitting myself with a hammer?"
"Because it feels so good when I stop."

  • Episode Title: "The Self Destruct Button"
The Self Destruct Button"
"The Self Destruct Button" is also the title of an AC/DC song.
"The Self Destruct Button" 也是 AC/DC 的一首歌曲名。

00:00:47:480, A couple hundred years ago,
00:00:49:516, Benjamin Franklin shared with the world
00:00:51:618, the secret of his success.
00:00:53:953, "Never leave that till tomorrow," he said,
00:00:56:256, "which you can do today."

00:39:17:521, We can't pretend we haven't been told.
00:39:20:691, We've all heard the proverbs,
00:39:22:626, heard the philosophers,
00:39:24:862, heard our grandparents warning us about wasted time,
00:39:29:333, heard the damn poets urging us to seize the day.
00:39:34:338, Still, sometimes, we have to see for ourselves.

00:41:03:828, We have to sweep today's possibility
00:41:06:730, under tomorrow's rug until we can't anymore,
00:41:10:134, until we finally understand for ourselves
00:41:13:204, what Benjamin Franklin meant.
00:41:17:875, That knowing is better than wondering.
00:41:25:950, That waking is better than sleeping.

00:42:01:385, And that even the biggest failure,
00:42:03:988, even the worst, most intractable mistake
00:42:07:458, beats the hell out of never trying.
